NLMK's Hot Dip Galvanizing Line # 2 yields the 150th ton of rolled products
The second Continuous Hot Dip Galvanizing Line of Cold Rolling Shop # 5 of NLMK produced the 150th ton of rolled stock. This line manufacturing galvanized rolled products with thickness 0,35-1 mm not only exceeded the designed capacity, but it has already been recouped.
Hot Dip Galvanizing Line was reconstructed from a continuous annealing line in unprecedented short time. This reconstruction was based on technical solutions developed by the Engineering Centre specialists in cooperation with other NLMK divisions. The reconstruction of the line cost several times less than building of a new hot dip galvanizing line with the same capacity.
The products of the line are to satisfy the growing demand for galvanized sheet used in construction. Recently this metal market sector has been developing rapidly, the fact, which will provide for full capacity utilization of the line.
